The Red Knot

The case of the Red Knots is only one example of many in which human actions have negatively impacted the environment.

I decided to create chalk drawings of birds in the Design Center stair well with the warning to ìwatch your step. As students walked up and down the stairs, the bird images began to smear and then fade away.

I hope that this project made students realize that their everyday actions may have unforeseen consequences.
